Lyse Elnett and Aidon sign a contract for next generation’s smart metering solution
Lyse Elnett, an electricity utility located in the South-Western part of Norway has chosen Aidon for a delivery of Energy Service Devices for the project in which they will implement an advanced Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) solution to their 144.000 customers. The contract was signed on 13th February in Stavanger.
In addition to remote reading, the new solution will enable Lyse Elnett to collect hourly electricity consumption values and get information from the distribution network in order to secure even better energy delivery to their customers. Furthermore, Lyse Elnett’s customers will be able to manage their energy usage in a smarter way, which supports the initiative for a greener future and more conscious usage of electricity.
Signing this contract with the supplier of the new automatic electricity meters gives us the start for the roll-out to our more than 140.000 customers in Rogaland. Aidon delivers state of the art technology that is already deployed in many homes. We chose Aidon for the supply of the meters because their proposal was compliant with our vision of modern smart metering that will allow us to offer new services to our customers. Their technology can also be adapted to our ambitions for further development of our smart grid, says Torbjørn Johnsen, Managing Director of Lyse Elnett.
We are honoured and excited about this contract which allows us together with Lyse Elnett to build the most advanced smart metering solution in the industry until now, says Thor-Erik Naess, Managing Director of Aidon in Norway.
